This week we introduced kiwi to Clara as part of a kiwi-avocado combo, and she seemed to like it. I’ve heard that this can be a potential allergen but she didn’t have any symptoms after eating it so hopefully we are ok with this one. We will try it again soon just to make sure. We also gave Organix multigrain porridge a try for breakfast one morning, although Clara didn’t seem massively impressed with the texture or taste of this one so we will definitely need to keep trying it in order to try and get her used to it.
We have also started to give some more finger foods to Clara – and this week she tried avocado fingers, cooked carrot sticks and banana fingers. She had lots of fun with these, whilst we held our breath and sat on our hands to try and let her learn by herself without panicking irrationally about her choking! We tested out the wheatgerm sprinkled on the avocado slices and it made a huge difference to how well Clara was able to grip them so this was definitely a good purchase.

We took Clara out to an Indian restaurant on Saturday for her nanny’s birthday and she had some good nanny and uncle cuddles! We also spent an evening at my friend Vikki’s house for her birthday and Clara seemed very content being passed around the room by everyone! She also got a second chance to see Brooke, my friend’s niece who is a couple of weeks older than Clara, and it was fun to see how they reacted to each other.
