Today is Good Friday and Jamie has booked the whole of next week off work so that we are able to have a bit of family time over the next few days which will be lovely. When we woke up this morning the weather was absolutely gorgeous so we decided to make the most of it and go for a little walk with Clara as we have been dying to try out the new seat on her Uppababy Cruz buggy for a couple of weeks now.
Since she was born we have been using the bassinet attachment with our buggy frame, but lately Clara has started to get a bit too curious whilst we have been out and is very eager to look at what is going on around her. Whilst she is still unable to sit up completely unsupported, she is pretty good with her balance and only needs minor assistance so we decided that it was time to switch her over to the bucket-seat style attachment and see how she got on. She absolutely loved it! We had her facing us in the buggy and it was great to see her enjoying being able to see her surroundings and take in all of the sights.
After we got back from our walk we put Clara down for a nap and decided that it would be lovely to go out for a meal for the evening so when she woke back up again we made use of the buggy a second time and headed out to Cafe Rouge for dinner.

Clara was very well behaved and attracted quite a bit of positive attention from the other diners who I think were a little bit surprised to see a baby out for dinner, but we have always been adamant that we would like her to be included in outings from a young age so that she gets used to being around other people and environments and feels like she is a part of the family at all times. It was lovely to spend the evening together and was a welcome break from the many evenings that we have spent indoors over the last few weeks.
