So here goes… my very first blog post. My name is Amy and I’m a new mummy to baby Clara. With Clara having just turned five months and about to enter the scary world of weaning, it has made me realise that time is slipping by and immortalising our amazing journey together in blog-form will give us both something to look back on in the years to come and will hopefully offer guidance and reassurance to others out there along the way too.

Entering the world of motherhood has been a daunting and at times confusing place – there is so much contradictory information out there about everything that we can do to raise our children ‘right’ and sometimes it is hard to see the woods from the trees. I’m not claiming to be a know-it-all (far from it!) but having spent many hours trawling the internet myself for the answers to various mummy-questions I have realised that you can never have too many personal experiences for others to use as reference and support.
