Clocks changing & family dinner

family dinner

So in our slightly less traditional take on the Easter Sunday roast dinner, we decided to have my parents over today instead for a gorgeous Easter Saturday lamb roast and rhubarb crumble pudding.

It was great to see them interacting with Clara, and she really was in a fantastic mood all day today which was lovely as she has been having quite a few teethy grizzly moments throughout the last week. She definitely seems to be back to accepting my newly-tanned dad again too!

Our main challenge this evening was tackling the issue of the clocks changing tonight. We have been trying to gradually pull Clara’s bedtime back each night for the last few months as she has always been a very late sleeper, but we had to pull it back even more this week in order to make way for the time change and make sure that it doesn’t disrupt her routine too much. By the end of the week we managed to successfully get her bedtime back by about 45 mins (with a couple of hiccups along the way) so when we put her down to bed tonight she had pretty much settled into her new sleep time already. As we have pulled the time back by so much this week, I think we will just try to keep it stable for the next couple of weeks before we try to pull it back even further as I don’t want to overdo it and risk her confusing bedtime with naptime!
