This weekend has been pretty hectic. On Friday, both of my parents were over for the day so Clara got a good bit of quality grandparent time. She is starting to really recognise family members now and is very smiley for them whenever they are over which is great to see.
Saturday was my first proper afternoon away from Clara since she was born (how crazy is that?!) as it was Jamie’s cousin’s baby shower, so I left Clara with Jamie and his dad for the afternoon. I had to time it so that I fed her just before leaving and made sure I was back in time for her next feed, but other than that everything went smoothly. It felt a bit odd driving away from her as up until now I’ve only been out of the house for about thirty minutes by myself. It’s good to know that she behaved herself!
On Sunday, Clara had her end of term underwater photoshoot for her swimming classes which was good fun – I can’t wait for the photos to turn up, they look amazing! We then headed out for the afternoon with a trip to Leith Hill and a bit of pub grub. The weather was gorgeous, Clara was very smiley and it was a really good day out.
