So we have come to the end of our first week and today’s food was pea puree. I sieved this one to make sure there were no tough skins in it and ended up with a lovely smooth vivid green puree which Clara loved.
She was very eager to feed herself today, and did amazingly well with the Babycup – she is definitely getting the hang of it, although there was so much water everywhere by the time we started clearing away! She is now able to take the cup from me and lift it to her mouth with both hands and sip from it, although she struggles a bit unless the cup is quite full as she hasn’t really got the hang of tilting her head back to reach the bottom of the cup – practise will make perfect I guess, hence the puddles of water on the splash mat by the end of the meal!
I thought I’d start putting together a bit of a summary of each week’s food so that I can keep track of what we’ve been giving Clara – hopefully this will help us to make sure we are giving her a varied diet and not repeating the same things too often.
